Agent DVR v5.2.1.0
Agent DVR v5.2.1.0 A free, super advanced video surveillance platform for Windows, macOS, Linux, Raspberry Pi and Docker. Agent has a unified user interface that runs on all modern computers, mobile devices and even Virtual Reality. Agent DVR supports remote access from anywhere with no port forwarding required. (Note from OlderGeeks.com: Remote access requires a very cheap subscription. Everything else is free for personal use.) Agent DVR is translated to: English, Arabic, Bengali, Czech, Danish, German, Spanish, Finnish, French, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Dutch, Polish, Portugese, Russian, Mandarin and Taiwanese Installing Agent DVR on Windows: To install run the setup utility which will check the dependencies, download the application and install the service and a tray helper app that discovers and monitors Agent DVR network connections. Agent for Windows runs on Windows 7 SP1+. Requires the .net framework v4.7+. To run on Windows Server you will need to enable Windows Media Foundation. For server 2012, install that from here. Installing Agent DVR on MacOS/Linux/RPi We recommend Ubuntu 20+ as it has FFmpeg v5 available as a package install. Otherwise FFmpeg will be built by the install script. Run in a terminal: bash <(curl -s "https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ispysoftware/agent-install-scripts/main/v2/install.sh") You may need to install curl first on Linux: sudo apt-get install curl Docker Image A Docker image of Agent DVR will install Agent DVR on a virtual Linux image on any supported operating system (currently only x86 based processors, ARM not supported). Please see the docker file for options. Important: The docker version of Agent includes a TURN server to work around port access limitations on Docker. If Docker isn't running in Host mode (which is only available on linux hosts) then you will need to access the UI of Agent by http://IPADDRESS:8090 instead of http://localhost:8090 (where IPADDRESS is the LAN IP address of your host computer). Angle Mouse v2.0.3
Angle Mouse v2.0.3 The Angle Mouse is a pointing facilitation technique that runs quietly in the background and improves the efficiency and ease of mouse pointing, especially for people with motor impairments. The Angle Mouse is a target-agnostic pointing facilitation technique that works by continually adjusting the control-display (C-D) gain based on how coherent (straight) or divergent (angular) the mouse movement is. When the mouse moves straight, the gain is kept high, but when the mouse corrects abruptly, often near targets, the gain is dropped, making targets bigger in motor-space. If you have any questions or comments, contact Jacob O. Wobbrock at wobbrock@uw.edu. The Angle Mouse requires the Microsoft .NET 2.0 Framework. Download it here. This software is distributed under the New BSD License agreement. Publications Wobbrock, J.O., Fogarty, J., Liu, S., Kimuro, S. and Harada, S. (2009). Camera Mouse 2018 v1.1
Camera Mouse 2018 v1.1 Camera Mouse is a free program that allows you to control the mouse pointer on a Windows computer just by moving your head. Clicking can be done by making the mouse pointer dwell over a spot on the screen (after first turning Clicking on in Settings). The program was developed at Boston College to help people with disabilities use the computer. The main audience for this program is people who do not have reliable control of a hand but who can move their head. People with Cerebral Palsy, Spinal Muscular Atrophy, ALS, Multiple Sclerosis, Traumatic Brain Injury, various neurological disorders use this program and its predecessors to run all types of computer software. Camera Mouse works as a mouse replacement system for Windows computers and tablets so it should work with just about any application program. For example people use Camera Mouse with entertainment programs, education programs, communication programs, web browsers, and so on. (See the Downloads page for some of the programs and websites that we have used with Camera Mouse.) Camera Mouse works best with application programs that require only a mouse and a left click and that do not have tiny targets. It's easier to use Camera Mouse with application programs that do not require extreme accuracy. What equipment is required? A Windows 10, 8.1, 8, 7, Vista, or XP computer or tablet and a built-in camera or standard USB webcam. We do our development work with a Microsoft LifeCam Studio and a Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920. However the much less expensive Microsoft LifeCam HD-3000 and Logitech HD C270 work well also. Camera Mouse should work with any built-in camera or USB webcam. This program is available for free download. Support for our work has come from the Philanthropy Committee of Mitsubishi Electronic Research Labs ...

Dangerzone v0.5.0
Dangerzone v0.5.0 Take potentially dangerous PDFs, office documents, or images and convert them to safe PDFs in Windows, macOS or Linux. Dangerzone is a Freedom of the Press Foundation project and is open source, released under the MIT license How It Works Dangerzone works like this: You give it a document that you don't know if you can trust (for example, an email attachment). Inside of a sandbox, Dangerzone converts the document to a PDF (if it isn't already one), and then converts the PDF into raw pixel data: a huge list of of RGB color values for each page. Then, in a separate sandbox, Dangerzone takes this pixel data and converts it back into a PDF. No Network Access Sandboxes don't have network access, so if a malicious document can compromise one, it can't phone home. Optional OCR Dangerzone can optionally OCR the safe PDFs it creates, so it will have a text layer again. Reduced File Size Dangerzone compresses the safe PDF to reduce file size. Open Docs Safely After converting, Dangerzone lets you open the safe PDF in the PDF viewer of your choice, which allows you to open PDFs and office docs in Dangerzone by default so you never accidentally open a dangerous document. Read About Dangerzone By Micah Lee Requirements: • Docker Desktop (you will be prompted to install it). • Hyper-V enabled in your BIOS. This download is for the Windows version. Impro-Visor v10.2 for MacOS
Impro-Visor v10.2 for MacOS Impro-Visor (short for “Improvisation Advisor”) is a music notation program designed to help jazz musicians compose and hear solos similar to ones that might be improvised. The objective is to improve understanding of solo construction and tune chord changes. There are other, secondary, things it can do, such as improvise on its own. It has also been used for transcription. Because rhythm-section (e.g. piano, bass, drums) accompaniment is automatically generated from chords, Impro-Visor can be used as a play-along device. Now having a wider array of accompaniment styles, its use is not limited to jazz. Partial List of Features: Lead sheets and solos can be constructed through either point-and-click or using a plain text editor (one is provided, but any editor can be used). Optional automatic note coloration shows whether notes are consonant or dissonant with chords and scales. Chords may also be entered quickly through a "roadmap" editor, which also analyzes chord changes for implied keys and idiomatic progressions ("bricks"). Harmonic note entry option guides the user to select notes that are consonant with harmony. Similarly, transposition options provide chromatic or harmonic transposition. Solos or solo fragments can be played back immediately on the computer, with automatic rhythm section accompaniment. Can be used for self-study, classroom, or play-along. Any segment of a leadsheet can be played back in looped mode. Users can define new accompaniment styles. There is spreadsheet-like Style Editor, and a Style Extractor facility that helps create styles from MIDI performances. . Solos and heads may be exported as MIDI files, with accompaniment if desired. Solos and heads may be exported as MusicXML, for import to other popular music notation software. It is not necessary that the soloist memorize the solos that are created in Impro-Visor. The act of constructing solos is intended to help one get a better understanding of the tune ...

PhonerLite v2.74
PhonerLite v2.74 PhonerLite is a clearly arranged application for Windows. PhonerLite enables your PC to use it for Internet telephony (VoIP , Voice over IP ). Pre-conditions are a full-duplex sound card , a microphone and speakers (alternatively a headset), an Internet connection and an account from a provider supporting the protocol SIP . PhonerLite supports several SIP profiles, each configurable independently. PhonerLite supports state of the art encryption methods like TLS, SRTP and ZRTP. Why is "PhonerLite" the right name? Phoner: There is an application called Phoner , with that PhonerLite shares common code and the file "sipper.dll". All VoIP specific configurations are the same and can be exchanged between Phoner and PhonerLite without any transformations. If Phoner and PhonerLite are installed in the same directory, they use the same DLL and configuration data (sipper.ini). Basically PhonerLite uses only a different GUI than Phoner. Lite: Like in Coke light the name affix suggests a light version of the original product. PhonerLite doesn't save any calories but resources - in this special case space and memory requirements.Usability is much easier than for Phoner. This advantage got some disadvantages: there is no answering machine and no support for TTS . Is PhonerLite free of charge? YES! PhonerLite is freeware. PhonerLite can be used, copied, and offered for download again without any fees in private and business environments. Pointing Magnifier 3 v3.2.2
Pointing Magnifier 3 v3.2.2 A free cursor replacement designed to reduce the need for fine motor control. Created by: Jacob O. Wobbrock, Ph.D. Leah Findlater, Ph.D. Alexis Hiniker, Ph.D. Alex Jansen University of Washington It is also useful in getting a close look at any region of the screen without losing the surrounding context, which has been useful to graphic designers and people with low vision. With the Pointing Magnifier, the usual mouse cursor is replaced by a semi-transparent circular "area cursor." When the user clicks, the area beneath this circular cursor becomes magnified, as if a lens. Once magnified, the typical mouse cursor arrow appears within the magnified lens, allowing for normal mouse operations, but now on much larger targets. The Pointing Magnifier supports all button-based actions: clicking, double-clicking, right-clicking, dragging, and button dwelling, both on the cursor itself and within its magnified lens. It does not trigger mouse movement-based events—mouse over, mouse hover, mouse enter, or mouse leave—due to technical limitations. In version 3 of the Pointing Magnifier, the lens itself can be dragged. It can also be nudged with the arrow keys. In addition, it contains support for multi-monitor displays. The original Pointing Magnifier was developed in 2010-2011 by Alex Jansen, with lead designer Leah Findlater and supervised by Jacob O. Wobbrock. More than a decade later, numerous feature requests and design improvements have resulted in the creation of the Pointing Magnifier 3 by Jacob O. Wobbrock, with help from Alexis Hiniker. As of version 2, the Pointing Magnifier is a complete rebuild containing no code from version 1. See what's new. Comparison to Windows Magnifier How does the Pointing Magnifier compare to the built-in Windows Magnifier? Windows Magnifier has three modes: lens, docked, and full screen. All three are primarily directed towards people with low vision, as they each make some or all of the screen larger. ...

Privacy Badger v2021.11.23.1
Privacy Badger v2021.11.23.1 A browser add-on that stops advertisers and other third-party trackers from secretly tracking where you go and what pages you look at on the web. If an advertiser seems to be tracking you across multiple websites without your permission, Privacy Badger automatically blocks that advertiser from loading any more content in your browser. To the advertiser, it’s like you suddenly disappeared. How is Privacy Badger different from Disconnect, Adblock Plus, Ghostery, and other blocking extensions? Privacy Badger was born out of our desire to be able to recommend a single extension that would automatically analyze and block any tracker or ad that violated the principle of user consent; which could function well without any settings, knowledge, or configuration by the user; which is produced by an organization that is unambiguously working for its users rather than for advertisers; and which uses algorithmic methods to decide what is and isn’t tracking. Although we like Disconnect, Adblock Plus, Ghostery and similar products, none of them are exactly what we were looking for. In our testing, all of them required some custom configuration to block non-consensual trackers. Several of these extensions have business models that we weren’t entirely comfortable with. And EFF hopes that by developing rigorous algorithmic and policy methods for detecting and preventing non-consensual tracking, we’ll produce a codebase that could in fact be adopted by those other extensions, or by mainstream browsers, to give users maximal control over who does and doesn’t get to know what they do online. How does Privacy Badger work? When you view a webpage, that page will often be made up of content from many different sources. (For example, a news webpage might load the actual article from the news company, ads from an ad company, and the comments section from ...

Rufus v4.4
Rufus v4.4 A utility that helps format and create bootable USB flash drives, such as USB keys/pendrives, memory sticks, etc. It can be especially useful for cases where: you need to create USB installation media from bootable ISOs (Windows, Linux, UEFI, etc.) you need to work on a system that doesn't have an OS installed you need to flash a BIOS or other firmware from DOS you want to run a low-level utility Despite its small size, Rufus provides everything you need! Oh, and Rufus is fast. For instance it's about twice as fast as UNetbootin, Universal USB Installer or Windows 7 USB download tool, on the creation of a Windows 7 USB installation drive from an ISO. It is also marginally faster on the creation of Linux bootable USB from ISOs. (1) A non exhaustive list of Rufus supported ISOs is also provided at the bottom of this page. (2) System Requirements: Windows 7 or later, 32 or 64 bit Download the executable and run it – no installation is necessary. The executable is digitally signed and the signature should state: "Akeo Consulting" (v1.3.0 or later) "Pete Batard - Open Source Developer" (v1.2.0 or earlier) Notes on DOS support: If you create a DOS bootable drive and use a non-US keyboard, Rufus will attempt to select a keyboard layout according to the locale of your system. In that case, FreeDOS, which is the default selection, is recommended over MS-DOS, as it supports more keyboard layouts. Notes on ISO Support: All versions of Rufus since v1.1.0 allow the creation of a bootable USB from an ISO image (.iso). Creating an ISO image from a physical disc or from a set of files is very easy to do however, through the use of a CD burning ...

ScionPC v8.3
ScionPC v8.3 Genealogical Management System ScionPC is free, portable, fully-featured, genealogy software with a modern, easy-to-use interface, ideal for both the novice and the experienced genealogist. Its focus is on the simple entry and clear display of family information. Databases from other family tree programs can be imported into ScionPC using its GEDCOM import facility. Just export your data from your old program as a GEDCOM file and then import that file into ScionPC - it's that easy. ScionPC uses a fully-documented, "open" XML database file format - don't be locked into a proprietary file system. The program has been written in a totally secular manner, has no checking on sex (to allow for "unconventional" relationships), and has no naming constraints (to allow for adopted children). The partners of a family group (or marriage/union) are referred to as "Prime" and "Partner" rather than "Husband & Wife" or "Father & Mother". Either partner can be the Prime. Free-form notes and sources can be created and viewed, and any files may be attached to any person or family. Other features include user-defined facts, dynamic on-screen ancestor and descendant charts, extensive on-line help, and powerful searching and filtering. ScionPC will run happily from a USB flash-drive as a "portable" application, and will leave no traces behind on any host computer. Take ScionPC and your database with you wherever you go. ScionPC has no limitations, no advertising, no "nagging", no registration required, no messing with your Windows Registry, and no spyware or other anti-social "nasties". Totem's Sound
Totem's Sound This is the story of the Norwegian explorer Johan Adrian Jacobsen. From 1881 to 1883 he travelled along the northwestern coasts of the Americas. Commissioned by a support comitee, he purchased and catalogued an immense number of artefacts and objects from local tribes for the German Humboldt Foundation. Totem's Sound is based on his personal accounts. Well, almost. Enjoy a day of Johan's journey, featuring great outdoor activities such as canoe races, collecting clams, not getting eaten by a giant grizzley and of course fish oil binge drinking. Get in contact with the local tribes, that are struggling to preserve their ways of life and their cultures in a rapidly changing world. Credits Totem's Sound was conceived and produced by gold extra with the support of Causa Creations in the framework of the Humboldt Lab Dahlem, a project by the Kulturstiftung des Bundes in collaboration with the Foundation Preussischer Kulturbesitz Berlin. As part of Rehersal Stage 4 - Travelogue Totem's Sound is being shown in the Museum Dahlen from 23.09.2014 to 08.02.2015.
